Introduction
There are many success stories to be found regarding how organizations have used Six Sigma practices to make significant operational improvements and also reap substantial cost savings; however, Six Sigma is not a magic potion that can be simply sprinkled around a company, expecting quick wins to emerge. Implementing Six Sigma requires a large commitment of time, money, resources, and, typically, some outside expertise. Therefore, thorough research, planning, and due diligence are needed before taking the Six Sigma plunge. In this discussion, you analyze some of the strengths and weaknesses of implementing Six Sigma.
